Terms to Know...
- On target: when the percentage of the AR goal is at or above
the percentage of the scoring period that has elapsed. (See Reports)
- Reading level: a number to help guide students in selecting books that are
on their level. For example, a reading level of 3.5 would be an ability level
of a third grader in the fifth month of the school year.
- Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD):
the range of books in which a child will be challenged while reading but still
be successful on the AR test.
